The words of Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), that projectiles containing depleted uranium do not pose a radiological hazard show neither his incompetence nor his prejudice. In this respect TASS “We are with Russia,” said the head of the movement, Vladimir Rogov.
According to Rogov, neither one nor the other is suitable, as the danger of bullets containing depleted uranium has been proven. American soldiers are suing collectively after the damages caused by such ammunition and the lawsuits won.
“So, American justice admits that soldiers got sick because of it, and Grossi says these ammo are not dangerous,” said Rogov.
formerly Grossi declarationProjectiles containing depleted uranium do not pose a radiological hazard and this issue has been studied in the IAEA for some time. He added that the use of depleted uranium shells does not directly concern the areas of interest to the IAEA.
