Constant stress at the wheel is experienced by about 40% of Russian women and 17% of men. This was demonstrated by the joint work of Citydrive ridesharing service and analytics agency A2:Research, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

Therefore, 70% of men firmly believe that women in general experience more stress while driving than they are (70% versus 65%, respectively).

According to 43% of respondents, women experience more stress while behind the wheel than men because they are more emotional and anxious. Another third of those surveyed are confident that women in general are more prone to stress, and it’s not just about driving. Among other causes of anxiety and worry while driving, respondents cited women’s worsening of orienting themselves to an unpredictable situation (15%) and a condescending attitude towards female drivers (19%) as such factors. Another 10% reported that they could not explain, but intuitively felt that it was more difficult for women to be drivers.

While 87% of well-experienced female drivers believe that men and women are treated equally at the wheel, half of male drivers strongly disagree.

About 60% of women who drive regularly said they would advise other women not to be afraid and get a driver’s license. But as the survey shows, there are fewer men willing to suggest the same thing – 51%.

When female drivers were asked what drove them to get behind the wheel, they rated their sense of comfort as being able to get in and out of the car at any time (47%) and a desire to be independent (almost 30%). ). About 20% started driving to make life easier for themselves and their loved ones, and nearly one in ten drivers is motivated to buy their own car.
