Russian scientists plan to create a technology for the production of piezomaterials that will replace imports. In this respect informs TASS with reference to Inna Shevchenko, rector of the Southern Federal University.
When piezoelectric materials are deformed, they acquire electrical charges and convert these charges into current. The simplest application of piezo materials is in “push button” lighters, but in reality they are extremely important to the electronics industry. These are needed in the radio engineering, communication systems, heavy and light engineering and energy sectors.
“With Rostec’s direct technological expertise, SFedU acquired two laboratories. One of them is in the field of creating piezo materials for the manufacture of an electronic component base. There is no such production in our country. There are advanced developments in Japan. At the meeting of the Federation Council Science, Education and Culture Committee, we plan to make an import-substituting technology that will be used in the main enterprises in three years, ”said the rector.
