Vietnam has sent a warship to spy on a Chinese coast guard ship patrolling a Russian gas field in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone in the South China Sea. It has been reported Reuters With reference to the Vietnamese research organization South China Sea Chronicle Initiative (SCSCI).
It was noted that the Russian state company Zarubezhneft is the operator and shareholder of one of the two search blocks. At the same time, the second shareholder is Gazprom, which is controlled by a subsidiary of PetroVietnam.
