The bilateral trade indicators between Russia and Belarus reached a record level of 45 billion dollars. Despite the sanctions imposed on the countries, the figures are increasing. This was expressed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, delivery TASS.
“Despite the instability in global markets and the sanctions aggression of the collective West, there are good indications of our economic cooperation. After a significant growth of 35 percent in 2021, bilateral trade increased by another 12 percent to a record $ 45 billion. And now the positive trend continues,” he said.
Mishustin noted that this is the result of, among other things, the implementation of a number of decisions to redirect Belarusian exports from Western markets to Russian ones.
“Imports of your products have increased by 40 percent, creating a positive trade balance for Russia and Belarus for the first time,” the Prime Minister said.
Mishustin added that Russia and Belarus continue to take effective measures together to offset the negative consequences of unprecedented sanctions against them.
