Bodies of two immigrants killed on a train in Texas found

At least two immigrants dead and ten others needed medical attention after traveling in hiding in a train car this Friday Cargo in the US state of Texas, according to local media reports.

As the KENS chain reported, officials from Uvalde (Texas) responded to an emergency call from one of the people traveling on the train. Police blocked Highway 90, where the train stopped, in the Knippa district, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) east of the city of Uvalde. It is not known whether the wagon or container in which the immigrants traveled was sealed from the outside.

Uvalde Police Chief Daniel Rodríguez told KENS that the discovery was made around 13:30 local time (18:30 GMT). A large number of helicopters and ambulances responded to the emergency. At least four of the injured were flown to a hospital in San Antonio.

In June of last year, San Antonio officials found dozens immigrants crowded traveling dead in a cargo truck. While the total death toll was 53, 13 people were injured.
