Gordon Moore, co-founder of the American company Intel, has died at the age of 94. This is stated in a statement by Intel, a leading microprocessor supplier:
Moore died on March 24 at her home in Hawaii with her family.
As Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger puts it, “Moore defined the technology industry with his knowledge and vision.”
“My career and much of my life has been shaped by the opportunities Gordon brought to Intel,” he said.
Gelsinger also admitted it was “an honor and responsibility” for him to continue Moore’s legacy.
Intel was founded in 1968 by engineers Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce. Moore worked for this company from 1968 to 2006.
