It is reported that the Swiss authorities are in contact with the German authorities about the conditions under which Eagle armored vehicles can be sent to Ukraine. TASS With reference to the Swiss State Secretariat for Economy (SECO).
According to agency spokesman Fabian Meienfisch, investigations revealed that a picture on a Ukrainian website depicting an armored vehicle in Ukraine “does not allow a reliable conclusion about the type and location of the vehicle”.
“It must have a chassis number that SECO does not have,” said Mayenfisch, to identify where this machine came from in Ukraine. According to him, 36 cars were exported to Denmark in the 1990s under the war materials law banning the supply of Swiss military equipment to conflict zones, and Copenhagen promised not to sell these cars to third countries. In December 2012, Denmark asked SECO to allow a “private German company” to allow the re-export of 27 Eagle I armored vehicles, but at the same time promised not to send them to other countries.
