Construction of Russia’s largest Buddhist monastery “Tubten Shedrub Ling” was completed in the capital of the Republic of Tyva Kyzyl. It has been reported Central News Service.

The construction site was chosen by the Dalai Lama 30 years ago during his visit to Tyva. The architecture of the complex resembles the Potala Palace of the Dalai Lama in Tibet, built in the 7th century at an altitude of 3700 m above sea level. The height of the main temple of the monastery is 56 meters, which is equivalent to the height of a 20-storey building.
