The balance of the most recent extension of the grain export agreement from Ukraine
Hulusi Akar and Sergei Shoigu, the defense ministers of Turkey and Russia, held a phone call this Wednesday, discussing the latest extension of the grain export agreement from Ukraine, among other issues.
Thus, Akar expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the parties in order to extend the agreement, which was approved after the outbreak of war in Eastern Europe and contributed to alleviating the world food crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. The Turkish agency reports Anadolu.
The Turkish Defense Minister stressed that Russia and Ukraine should continue without interruption to an agreement with the cooperation of Turkey and the United Nations, providing for the export of Ukrainian grains and Russian fertilizers.
However, there was little influence from Russia in this regard and the Ministry of Defense itself confirmed the meeting with the Turkish authorities and that the agreement in question was discussed in the dialogue, and also the situation in Syria or the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh.
