Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the ministry at an extended meeting of the Interior Ministry board on Monday (March 20th) to quickly streamline things with the issuance of Russian passports in the new regions of the country. It has been reported TASS.

Addressing the Russian Minister of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the head of state noted that there may be difficulties in official matters, such as issuing passports to residents of new regions of Russia, but difficulties that this department cannot solve.

“I urge you to put things in order here and do it as soon as possible,” said the President.

He noted that people want to become citizens of the Russian Federation, go to get Russian passports.

“First of all, everything takes a very long time, months, and you have to wait in lines for a very long time,” continued Putin.

He also stressed that people dealing with issues related to the issuance of passports “must take a responsible approach to resolving these issues”.
