Comedy elements and a malicious point of irony and parody are one thing, and childishness is something else entirely. The results have often been low-key, especially when Marvel tried to make the first with the character of Thor and the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ saga. When rival company DC came to the screen Blessed with godly powers, adolescent Shazam clearly prefers a comedic tone without showing too much grace. Watching the second part of the adventures of Shazam and his friends in foster families, who have similar powers, one takes the side of the villains and wishes the hero would stop saying such nonsense.. Any enemy with a face and eyes will win the game when the hero is very flimsy, on a dramatic level, and on a ridiculous, parodic level. And there’s no color here as it’s about the daughters of the mythological Atlas and both played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu.

like in any movie Super heroes, bad, common sense, funny, true, good or very good, ‘Shazam! ‘Rage of the Gods’ has some scenes with pure visual muscle and the transformation of the city of Philadelphia into an ominous garden of tuberculosis vines and huge, rotten trees was digitally solved with a certain grace. But overall it gets very tiresome and repetitive, and above all, the super show never ceases to align with comedy. DC Extended Universe without Batman and Superman continues to falter on the screens.
