A woman in the US escaped from prison after her boyfriend kept her in a closet for two months. These release reports Metro.
The 40-year-old victim said she had been abducted and kept in a locker for weeks, the local police department in Tennessee wrote on March 13.
The woman was found hiding on the construction site of a new house in Dyersburg on Saturday (March 11th). He was emaciated and weighed under 45 kg and also had cuts on his face.
The victim reported being forced to stay in a locked cabinet with some kind of wired locking device for about two months. Her boyfriend only let her out of the closet for an hour a day.
Police searched the house where the victim was held and found evidence inside that corroborates the woman’s story.
The victim said a 30-year-old boy locked her in a closet. She said she had an affair with him but it turned into physical violence and ended with her capture.
After the examination and treatment at the clinic, the woman was allowed to go home. She will receive additional assistance as a victim of domestic violence.
Police are currently looking for the perpetrator on charges of qualified kidnapping.
