According to Rospotrebnadzor, cases of the disease are currently recorded in the Novosibirsk, Samara, Moscow and Leningrad regions, in the Altai and Krasnodar Territories “and in a number of other subjects of Russia”.

The ministry added that the regional bodies of Rospotrebnadzor have taken all necessary anti-epidemic measures, including identifying the circle of contacts and vaccinating the population.
