Hooded people beat ex-Greek minister Varoufakis

HE Former Finance Minister of Greece Yanis Varoufakis According to his left-wing political party, he was attacked by several hooded men in Athens’ Exarchia neighborhood last night.

Apparently, a group of people discovered this. The 61-year-old politician was in a restaurant from that neighborhood known for its leftist protest movements and started insulting it.

When Varoufakis went out into the street, several hooded men threw him to the ground.They kicked and punched him in the face.. The former minister, whose nose was broken, was treated at the hospital.

Varoufakis thanked him for the solidarity shown to him after the attack on Twitter this morning and denied that the attackers were anarchists or leftists. Rather, he argued, they were “thugs” who accused him of betraying Greece during the 2015 debt crisis, when he was finance minister in the Syriza government.

“They were not anarchists, leftists, communists or members of any movement. bandits for hire (and so it seemed) clumsy use of the lie that I sold myself to the troika. Varoufakis, in his post on his Twitter account, said, “We will not let them divide us.

His party, Mera25, described the attack as “fascist”. The economist now wants 3.5% of the votes in the parliamentary and formation polls.
