Scientists from Perm figured out how to extract potash ore without human intervention, reports DEA News With reference to the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

“Our system is a collection of sensors. The accelerometers and gyroscopes inside are perpendicular to each other in three planes. Accelerometers measure acceleration and gyroscopes measure position in space, meaning all angles are measured in all planes <…> “Such systems serve as additional navigation in places where there is not enough GPS,” said Denis Kormshchikov, senior researcher and candidate of technical sciences at the Mining Institute.

It is noted that this system will perform multiple tasks at the same time: eliminating the shortage of skilled workers, increasing benefits for the company and eliminating human labor in the most dangerous work areas.

It is planned that the pilot tests will be completed in December this year and the first five samples will be produced and mass production will begin by the beginning of 2024.

Formerly Perm scholars came withhow to save mines under construction from flooding and destruction.
