Launched into orbit on February 5, the Russian satellite Elektro-L No. interfax.

Pictures of Earth were taken in the visible and infrared ranges. It was noted that all service systems of the meteorological satellite were operating normally.

“Thanks to the 24-hour transmission from orbit of high-quality multispectral images in the visible and infrared range, global climate monitoring problems are solved, the state of the seas and oceans is analyzed, weather forecasts are more efficient, emergency information is given when emergencies are detected,” he said.
