“I thank them for their determination to build a more humane society with the ability to perceive reality with a creative eye and a soft heart. This is the prerogative of women only,” said the Bishop of Rome, before the end of the traditional public audience in the Vatican.

At the end of his speech, the Pope called on everyone in St. Peter’s Square to applaud the women.
