Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), said that at the next meeting of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s headquarters, it is planned to consider the issue of permission to travel abroad for men of military age. Danilov stated this in the broadcast of the Rada TV channel.

According to Danilov, not everyone understands that it is necessary to return when the state gives the opportunity to travel abroad to perform certain functions.

“An unfortunate example occurred in December when the Ministry of Culture gave permission – six people left to represent the country as artists. These artists did not return. There are laws that must be respected. At the headquarters meeting to be held in the near future, the question of who, how much and which departments gave permission will be on the agenda.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council believes it will be fair if “legislators strengthen accountability for these processes.”

Men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from leaving Ukraine for the period of martial law.

Former Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine wanted to compress the procedure for granting permission for men of military age to leave their country temporarily.
