Agency Special Correspondent TASSRoscosmos cosmonaut Dmitry Petelin said the International Space Station (ISS) was maneuvering to avoid space debris.
According to Petelin, if the maneuver failed, the station would have approached the space debris around 18:00 Moscow time. It was stated that the trajectory correction took place with the help of the engines of the Progress MS-22 spacecraft, which arrived at the station on February 11. As a result of the maneuver, the orbital height increased by 1.2 km.
The last time the Russian Progress MS-20 took the ISS away from space debris was on December 21, 2022.
Previously, the state company Roscosmos on the Telegram channel published Images of the world from the International Space Station (ISS). The press service added that the photos were taken by cosmonauts Sergei Korsakov, Oleg Artemiev, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, Ivan Vagner and Sergei Ryzhikov.
