New series premiere every week, other well-known and loved ones return, and the schedule can easily become impossible. In this section, we make five recommendations from which in principle it is impossible to go wrong.
1. “Perry Mason (Season 2)” (HBO Max, Tuesday)
The dirty “reboot” of the legendary character got out of control and is now Jack Amiel And Michael the beggar, creators of the legendary ‘The Knick’: it doesn’t seem like a bad change. Months after the end of the Dodson trial, Perry (Matthew Rhys), legal secretary Della (Juliet Ryan) and policeman Paul (Chris Chalk) becomes involved in a high-flying conspiracy after the murder of an oil family’s son. Katherine Waterston (‘Pure depravity’) further enhances the careful cast if possible.
2. “Look for rain dogs (Look for life)” (HBO Max, Tuesday)
Writer Cash Vehicle A few years ago, she attracted attention with ‘Skint Estate’, the memoirs of a single and precarious mother living in England. Although the announced serial adaptation of the book never took place, these experiences seem to have inspired him to create this black comedy about a single working-class mother (Daisy May Cooper), his ten-year-old daughter (Fleur Tashjian) and gay rich man (Jack Farthing(seen in ‘Poldark’ or ‘Chloe’) they eventually formed a curious family together.
3. “You (season 4, episode 2)” (Netflix, Thursday)
Follow the London adventures of cute sociopath Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), now better known as Professor of Literature Jonathan Moore. At the end of the first half of the season, remember, it was revealed who was behind the threatening messages and blackmail that gripped the immigrant. So, ‘who did it’ is over. Now, as ‘showrunner’ Sera Gamble progresses, we’ll see how the impossible relationship between our (anti)hero and his follower evolves.
4. “Ambassadors” (SkyShowtime, Friday)
Producer and director in some episodes Juan José Campanella (Oscar winner for ‘El secreto de sus ojos’), this Mexican-Argentine co-production sounds like a variation of ‘Evil’. In this case, if a forensic psychologist and a priest get together to investigate alleged demonic possessions, then two Vatican priests (Miguel Angel Silvestre And Luis Gerardo Mendez) confirm miracles in a small Mexican town and a Galician convent for season two already.
5. “Glory (part 2)” (Netflix, Friday)
scriptwriter kim eun-sook (“The King: Eternal Sovereign”) and director ahn gil ho (‘Memories of the Alhambra’) made another hit worldwide with this gripping drama about the long-term effects of bullying. It became the most-watched non-English series on Netflix in the first week of January. Now comes the second episode group where we will see how Moon Dong-Eun’s plan ends (Song Hye-kyo) against their former bullies, including being a teacher at their children’s school.
