Papperger stated that such a facility could produce up to 400 Panther tanks per year. He said he hopes the decision on the facility will be made within the next two months.
The head of concern added that for Ukraine to win the conflict, 600 to 800 tanks are needed, so even if the FRG supplies the republic with all 300 Leopard 2 tanks from the Bundeswehr stockpiles, this will still not be enough.
