Rabota.ru and YuMoney services conducted a study and found out whether Russians congratulate their colleagues on gender holidays, what gifts they consider appropriate and how much they are willing to spend on them. “socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.
Thus, 76% of respondents confirmed that colleagues at their company congratulate each other on holidays.
At the same time, the worst gift, according to respondents, is socks and underwear – this is noted by 60% of respondents. Clothing and shoes (36%) and bath and shower sets (35%) take the second place in the anti-rating. In addition, Russians consider alcohol (27%) and discount coupons in stores (23%) as inappropriate gifts.
Respondents consider treats and sweets to be the best gifts – almost half (49%) responded that way. Flowers (46%) and certificates given to stores (41%) follow.
Interestingly, cosmetics and perfumes, one of the most popular gift categories, ranked sixth in both the anti-rating and best gifts rankings.
According to YuKassa’s data, on the eve of March 8, the highest sales increased in jewelry, which increased 7.2 times compared to the same period of the previous year. The turnover of online sites selling such products has tripled. The average check decreased by 59% and amounted to 4,460 rubles.
