Japanese authorities decided to allocate $45 million to stabilize the world food situation

Hirokazu Matsuno, Secretary General of the Japanese Council of Ministers, said that the country’s government has decided to allocate a $45 million grant to stabilize the food situation in the international arena. His words at the press conference in Tokyo TASS.

According to Matsuno, the funds allocated by the Cabinet will be directed to the needy residents of Asia, Africa, the Middle East, as well as the population of Ukraine. In addition, another $5 million will be sent by public institutions in Japan.

Previously reportedJapan’s Ambassador to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda and Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksandr Kubrakov signed documents for grants of 22.4 billion yen (approximately $164 million) to the Ukrainian authorities during their meeting in Kiev.

Nicolae Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, previously will allocate gave his country a $100 million loan to support education, medicine, gender equality and social projects.
