Sergei Okopsky, a teacher at Moscow School No. 2031, who beat a student in a financial literacy class, was fired. This was announced to socialbites.ca by the director of the educational institution, Grigory Kiselev. According to him, the school administration is conducting an internal investigation.
“Any use of physical force against children is categorically unacceptable. This is a principled stance and there can be no justification for a teacher who uses force against his student. During an eighth grade lesson on February 27, one of the students violated discipline and did not respond to the teacher’s words. As a result, the teacher could not help himself and, using brute force, threw the boy out of the office, ”said Kiselev.
The school principal stated that the eighth grader did not need medical attention after the incident.
“Currently, the school administration is conducting an internal investigation in which all the circumstances and causes of the incident will be determined. The employment relationship with the teacher was terminated. We are in contact with the parents of the child, the student feels well, he does not need medical help, ”said Kiselev.
Earlier, the Mash Telegram channel posted a video where a teacher from the capital’s school number 2031 beats one of the students during a financial literacy class for not liking the student’s hairstyle. In the footage, it is seen that the teacher in military uniform first shouts at the young person, then pulls a chair from under it, roughly takes the student under his armpits, and takes the student out of the classroom into the hallway. Then he puts the schoolboy on his shoulder blades and starts hitting him on the head. The publication states that the victim was allegedly diagnosed with injuries to his nose and head and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
