In Riga, red carnations were placed on a Russian tank destroyed by unidentified persons. Police launched an investigation apollo.lv.

On February 25, a charity concert was held in front of the Riga Congress House, and an exhibition of Russian military equipment destroyed during hostilities by the Ukrainian armed forces was opened in Kronvalda Park.

Photos shared on social media showed someone putting red carnations on the railing of one of the exhibits over the weekend.

The publication explains that carnations are “typical flowers on Soviet holidays.”

Police said the incident was recorded and a departmental investigation was launched into the incident. The flowers laid on the fence were hastily taken from there.

It is known that on the same day the Association for the Support of Ukraine and the “Latvia Ukraine Congress” in Daugavpils held a parade in support of Ukraine. It is recorded that even the public waving of the Ukrainian flag in the past caused controversy among the townspeople.
