Russian teachers are at the forefront of the struggle for the future and fulfill their state duties by educating talented youth. This was stated by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko in the pedagogical discussion “The Year of the Teacher and Mentor through the Eyes of a Teacher”. TASS.
He emphasized that it is no less important that what Russian teachers do today is also a front line, a front line for the future.
“The teachers gathered here today are true professionals, raising some brilliantly talented children who have managed to win in the tough competitive selection of the Big Change contest, which has been running for the president for several years. “People who deserve tremendous respect and great gratitude, not only from their students, their families, but also from society and the country as a whole.”
He reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2023 the year of the teacher-mentor.
“The future, competitiveness and dominance of Russia is determined, among other things, by what the young Russian generation will believe, what values they will share, and will become true patriots of their country when they grow up. And the war launched by NATO’s Western bloc against Russia is not only a war in a special military operations zone, not only an economic conflict and an attempt to suffocate the Russian economy with sanctions, but also an information and psychological war. , it’s only aimed at this younger generation. This is a battle for the minds and souls of very young men,” said Kiriyenko.
According to him, from this point of view, the role of the teacher, the role of the mentor, and the responsibility of the state not only in the transfer of knowledge but also in education are at the highest level.
“And that’s why people who have chosen a profession, who dedicate their lives to transmitting knowledge, values and beliefs to the next generation of Russians, are people who fulfill a very important state duty,” Kiriyenko said.
