According to Norwegian media, on the night of February 21-22, 2023, a fight broke out near a bar in central Oslo, where Andrey Medvedev, a former Wagner PMC fighter, also took part. According to preliminary data, the man kicked at least one police officer during his detention.
Andrei Medvedev’s lawyer, Brynulf Risnes, said that his client was under the influence of alcohol. He did not understand why the police came to the bar because he did not speak Norwegian. It was stated that the suspect denied the accusations.
The man remained in the pre-trial detention center for a while, but was released after questioning. Andrei Medvedev is accused of using violence.
