The premiere of this documentary series coincided with the 30th anniversary of the flight of Antonio Anglés and the crime that shocked Spain in 1993. The first episode of Angles: The Story of a Flight begins on January 24, 1993, the night the bodies of three friends, ages 14 and 15, who disappeared two months earlier, are found. And it describes the 44 days of hopeless persecution of Antonio Anglés. “An escape favored by chain of incomprehensible mistakes committed by justicesecurity forces and political leaders of the moment” advance the chain.

The second part of the documentary series deals with one of the “most mysterious” episodes of Antonio Anglés’ escape: Stowaway on the City of Playmouth freighterHe’s on his way to Liverpool, England, and “awkwardly vanishes” hours before arriving at his destination. The directors of the documentary series obtained unpublished testimonies of the people who lived through those final moments with Anglés and held the key to what could happen on that journey.
