Screenwriter Akiva Goldsman has signed a multi-year contract with Warner Bros. to write sequels to Constantine and I Am Legend.
Goldsman will write the script for the new Constantine. According to him, the sequel is in many ways indebted to Keanu Reeves (Keanu Reeves): “This is to the credit of Keanu, who repeated endlessly that he wants to return to this character. Finally, he said it often enough for everyone to remember“.
As for the sequel to I Am Legend, it will rely on an alternate ending where Will Smith’s character managed to survive. The film will also star Michael B. Jordan, but his role has yet to be revealed.
Events will take place several decades later. The picture will continue the ideas of the original novel by Richard Matheson (Richard Matheson). However, Goldsman cites one of the most important sources of inspiration The last of us.
