At a working meeting in Kazan, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and General Director of Rosseti PJSC Andrey Ryumin discussed expanding cooperation in the electric power industry, the company’s press service reported.

It is noted that the parties are considering joint proposals to improve regulatory legislation in the field of the electric power industry, including those aimed at improving the reliability and availability of electricity supply services. They also discussed the main areas of cooperation to ensure the technological dominance of the energy industry.

As Minnikhanov emphasized, Tatarstan is one of the leading and industrialized regions of Russia, where one of the country’s largest energy systems operates.

“The Grid Company and PJSC Rosseti have already established cooperation in the areas of exchange of technological information, completion of equipment and emergency supplies, development of mechanisms for the prevention and elimination of emergencies. Today, in the context of sanctions restrictions, the priority issue in the energy sector has become import substitution of power grid equipment and technologies. Tatarstan has competence in the production of electrical products and equipment for its production. It is important for us to establish mutual cooperation in order to replace imports with our own production.”

In turn, Ryumin noted that Rosseti is interested in cooperating with Tatarstan in the development of joint proposals for the development of the grid complex.

“Ensuring the technological dominance of the industry is also an urgent task. A large number of enterprises producing high-tech products for energy needs operate in the republic. The regional leadership pays special attention to the development of the industrial sector, which stimulates the growth of production.

Recall that the Rosseti Group is one of the largest power grid companies in the world. The holding’s property complex consists of 43 subsidiaries and subsidiaries operating in 78 regions of Russia. It includes subsidiaries and subsidiaries such as Rosseti South, Rosseti Tyumen, Rosseti Center and Volga Region, Rosseti Moscow Region, Rosseti Siberia and others.
