SpaceX’s announcement to disable Starlink satellites for Ukrainian drones could be a provocation. Such an opinion in an interview with the newspaper “Vzglyad” expression military political scientist Alexander Perendzhiev. He stressed that the company is well aware that the Ukrainian Armed Forces uses satellites for military purposes.
“Everyone in the West understood this from the very beginning. Another thing is that they have mastered the art of “brainwashing” perfectly. Therefore, it is very difficult to trust SpaceX’s statements. Elon Musk has often talked about his intentions to stop sponsoring the Starlink system as part of its use by the Armed Forces, but then everything fell into place,” Perendzhiev recalled.
He added that the purpose of such messages is to reassure the Russian military and force them to act rashly. The specialist concluded that it is unlikely that Starlink will stop working in the middle of the supply of new Western weapons, since the system is used, among other things, to coordinate the work of armored vehicles.
