The Odintsovo garrison military court found the mobilized soldier Alexander Leshkov guilty. Reported by TASS.

Leshkov was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in a strict regime colony for beating a commander while performing his military duties (part 3 of article 344 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The decision was appealed by the defense and has not yet entered into force.

“The case is pending at the Second Western District Military Court. The verdict is guilty”.

On November 13, during a review of the exercise in Patriot Park in the Moscow region, Private Leshkov began to resent the quality of the organization of military service, the provision of property for the mobilized, and the lack of “in a contemptuous manner using obscene words.” fire training, criminal proceedings according to the decision.

The prosecution alleges that he had a verbal confrontation with the soldier’s commander, Lieutenant Colonel Denis Mazanov, and blew cigarette smoke in his face in the presence of other soldiers. The officer “raised him with his hand,” after which Leshkov deliberately thrust his fist into the lieutenant colonel’s chest.

On November 22, Private Leshkov’s lawyer, Alexander Aleksandrovsky, told News.ru that his client pleaded guilty to inflicting violence against his commander.

At the same time, the defense argued that the behavior of the mobilized person was due to “features of upbringing and perception of reality” – a heightened sense of justice.

The lawyer added that Leshkov “expressed emotionally that he was in a stressful situation and was dissatisfied with the commander’s behavior, but did not want to harm him, let alone do any harm to his health.”

“It was an outburst of emotion that he couldn’t control,” Aleksandrovsky said. He also stated that his client voluntarily volunteered to participate in hostilities and was positively qualified.

The media widely published videos of the fighting in Patriot Park amid partial mobilization in Russia. A fervent Leshkov, using an unprintable vocabulary on it, resents Mazanov that the mobilized are training exercises – “are we going to war in formation?” And also “fill in the papers to collect the shortcoming.”

“You came to shoot 15 rounds? Twice during the engagement and once during the training and control shot. Once in range for shooters, the rest of the time we engage ***** at the tank range,” he says.

In addition, the absence of moving targets on the shooting range angered the military.

The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov, said that soon an investigation will be conducted into the complaints of those mobilized from different parts of the country. According to him, the news about the plight of the mobilized is explained by the “isolation” and the dishonesty of “individual officials”.

On December 29, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that many difficulties and shortcomings arose during the mobilization.

“You know that we have completed the partial mobilization, we have realized it, there have been many difficulties and problems,” said the Minister of Defense.

According to him, it cannot be said that while the government initially tried to “hide nothing from anyone”, the authorities “managed to resolve most of the problems and issues fairly quickly”.
