The Valencia Institute for Business Competitiveness (Ivace), under the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, has called for new direct assistance aimed at upgrading and modernizing industrial zones in the Valencian Community with a budget of 40 million in 2023. euro. The subsidy call, published in the DOGV on Friday 13 January, sets out three lines of action: one for towns at risk of depopulation with 2m euros, the other with 28m euros for the remaining municipalities of the Valenciana Community. A new €10m special line targeting industrial sites that, by agreement of the plenary, form a Management and Modernization Establishment(EGM), as of 31 December 2022. In this sense, business parks with EGM may prefer grants of up to one million euros compared to 200,000 euros set in previous calls.
The 2023 aid will consist of a subsidy of up to 100% of investment projects for the improvement, modernization and provision of infrastructure and services in industrial estates, industrial zones and technological enclaves and will target all municipalities of the Valencian Community.
Rafa Climent, Minister of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, underlined the importance of these direct aids to “continue to improve the quality of industrial areas and make them more competitive and sustainable”. Climent emphasized that: The 2023 investment is the largest ever made and “shows our true commitment to business parks to continue to be the economic engine of municipalities and districts and to place them at the center of Generalitat’s industrial policy.”

The projects should be conducted in an industrial zone included in the Industrial Land Map of the Ivace Valencia Community and will be undertaken within the framework of promoting sustainable development and the protection, preservation and improvement of the environment.
Eligible actions
