The numbers show that gradual improvement of mobilityand made it possible to prevent the circulation of approximately one million cars and the emission of 43,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).

To cope with the increased mobility during Holy Week, Renfe has increased AVE and Long Distance services, as well as Avant and Media Distancia trains.

In this sense, the company has offered close to two million seats on commercial and medium-haul service trains, still far from the three million seats it offered in 2019 before the pandemic broke out.

On the first day of operationThe company has registered a record number of daily travelers since its inception Pandemicwith a total of 163,576 passengers.

Also, during the week Renfe managed to exceed 150,000 passengers per day on busy days.
