EU countries urged travelers from China to check for COVID-19, reports Bloomberg.
“Member States agree to advise on personal hygiene and health protection measures to aircraft and airport personnel, as well as international passengers arriving and departing from or to China,” the Swedish EU Presidency said in a statement.
The Swedish government also said the country will launch coronavirus testing for travelers from China from January 7. Belgian Health Minister Frank Vandenbroek also said his country will impose similar requirements for passengers on direct flights from China.
Previously, together with representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Health Commission, and senior officials of China’s National Disease Prevention and Control Administration discussed situation with coronavirus.
