Chocolate and onions on the owner’s table can seriously harm the dog’s health. About said veterinary-neurologist Lyudmila Konikova.

Most dogs love human food and will regularly beg for it. When it comes to meat or porridge, if the owner can compromise and share, then in some products, especially festive products, this is strictly prohibited.

“Chocolate can cause neurological symptoms, the higher the cocoa content, the more dangerous the product. It has a certain toxic dose, but sometimes even a small piece can lead to the death of the animal, so it is not worth trying, ”explains the doctor.

This effect is due to theobromine, an alkaloid found in cocoa beans. Also, grapes, raisins and avocados are dangerous. Onions and garlic seem to be a perfectly safe product for humans, but they can also negatively affect the dog’s hematopoiesis when eaten with crush. Also, don’t give alcohol to dogs, although some like it.
