Ruslan Hasbulatovlast head Supreme Soviet Russiapassed away this Tuesday 80 years oldAs announced by the Russian media.

Jasbulátov, who died in his home on the outskirts of Moscow, will be buried this Thursday at Tolstoy Yurt in his hometown of Chechnya, Tass news agency learned.

“I spoke to my closest relatives today. Probably tomorrow everyone will come to Chechnya, A funeral will be held in the town of Jabuslatov in accordance with Chechen traditions,” he said.

Born in 1942 and initially an ally of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, the politician of the time served as the chairman of the Russian Parliament between 1991 and 1993.
