In the Yaroslavl region, the police opened a criminal case against the head of the Tutaevsky district hunters and fishermen community for organizing a deer hunt, in which eight out of 20 animals were illegally killed. Department of the Ministry of the Interior regional and regional government.
“Criminal proceedings were brought against a resident of the city of Tutaev, a man born in 1949, for a crime (illegal hunting) under paragraph 2 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.” The Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
The police added that, according to the regional government, the accused is the head of the Tutaevsky regional hunters and fishermen’s association. The man was responsible for a collective deer hunt. It was determined that the suspect gave 12 special hunting permits, in fact 20 wild animals were shot.
The Ministry of Interior announced that the investigation is continuing. The court chose a restraining measure in the form of house arrest for the suspect.
