One in ten people considers an electronic device the most successful purchase in 2022. Useless purchases include clothes and shoes in the first place. Representatives of the economically active population from all regions of the country took part in an open survey of the SuperJob service in search of high-paying jobs.

Every tenth Russian named an electronic device the best purchase of 2022. Various electronic devices most pleased buyers last year. For 9% of respondents, the most helpful was buying clothes and shoes. 5% of respondents are satisfied with well-purchased tour packages and home appliances. 3% of Russians are satisfied with the purchase of furniture, training courses, real estate and delicacies. 2% of respondents are happy to buy a car and products for sports and an active lifestyle. Among other useful purchases, Russians buy televisions, children’s things, books, securities, pets, jewelry, etc. One in four could not say any acquisition was successful in 2022.
Men are more likely than women to choose electronics, appliances and sporting goods as their best buys of 2022. On the other hand, women were more likely to be satisfied with advantageous coupons and furniture purchases.
Almost every second Russian (49%) managed to avoid unnecessary purchases last year, and this is more than a year ago. 6% made a mistake when buying clothes and shoes. 3% regret spending on perfumes and cosmetics. 2% of respondents considered home appliances a useless purchase. About 1% of respondents regret buying jewelry, cars, electronics, TV and some products (sweets, frills). Russians named fitness memberships, courses, books, gifts, backpacks, cigarettes, plates, furniture and more, among other useless purchases.
Men are more likely to regret buying a car, smartphone, and television, while women are more likely to regret buying unnecessary clothing, shoes, and cosmetics.
