Kazakh oil supply will not fully replace Russian oil supply to German refineries, reports TASS With reference to Transneft.
The company provided data on annual deliveries to Germany – from 18 to 20 million tons per year. At the same time, according to Transneft estimates, it is realistic to deliver only 3-5 million tons per year from Kazakhstan.
At the same time, there were no applications from the Kazakh authorities for the supply of oil to Germany. In addition, the decision to pump Kazakhstan oil to Germany via Russia can only be taken by the Russian Ministry of Energy.

On December 20, Transneft Managing Director Nikolai Tokarev announced that Transneft had received applications to pump oil from Poland and Germany. It was also claimed that Germany plans to buy fuel in the first quarter of 2023. In Germany they called these reports false.
