MIPT Center for Artificial Intelligence principal analyst Igor Pivovarov is confident that AI can replace programmers who write simple code according to their job description, which does not require a creative approach.

“First of all, all routine occupations, as well as occupations where there is a high risk factor for a person to get tired and make mistakes, are vulnerable. These are machine operators, call centers, accountants, and even programmers who, without any creativity, write fairly simple code according to the terms of reference.

According to him, various routine processes are gradually being automated. These are business decisions of people – general managers or business owners.

“In this sense, there is no need to be afraid of artificial intelligence, people need to be afraid. Creative professions, of course, are not in danger. Because no matter what anyone says, artificial intelligence is not yet in a position to create.”

According to Pivovarov, AI serves as a tool for creative professions. For example, for an artist he can instantly make hundreds of different sketches, for a journalist he can create a kind of text “fish” on a particular topic in this and that style.
