Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said experts are close to an acceptable agreement between Ukraine and Russia to create a security zone around the ZNPP. It has been reported Bloomberg.
The publication notes that IAEA observers say they are approaching an agreement between the countries.
“We’re getting close to something acceptable,” Grossi said.
He stressed that he expects to hold talks with the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, in the near future, to help move the negotiations forward.
Grossi stressed that the IAEA had “no information” that Russian forces were preparing to leave the ZNPP.
