Ukraine urges to reduce electricity consumption after recent Russian attacks
The Ukrainian Government has urged citizens to reduce their electricity consumption in the afternoon due to the risk of power outages due to the recent attacks by Russian forces on strategic infrastructures.
President Volodymyr Zelenski’s office has proposed to reduce consumption “as much as possible” between 5 pm and 10 pm to deal with the “temporary” problems of the recent bombings.
According to the UNIAN agency, Andri Gerus, chairman of the Parliament’s Energy Commission, called for the non-use or minimization of non-essential appliances, including boilers, stoves and heaters.
