Probability of producing solar energy autonomously, that is, through a team that can move from one place to another, It is undoubtedly a center of attraction for many people and companies. This is exactly what the Madrid-based company Polar Developments has developed. Arctic Green Drawerfor example, a portable photovoltaic station between 17.5 and 45.5 kWh that can charge an electric car from solar energy.
Arctic Green Drawer consists of a trailer with everything you need inside converting it into a fully removable photovoltaic station in just a few minutes. Thanks to an innovative folding system based on space satellite masts, this vehicle has 12 solar panels that, when opened, become a 22 linear meter solar field and can produce 4.4 Kwp.
This autonomous station Provides up to 6,500 W (scalable with different powers) and endless use: from providing the energy needed to charge cars, scooters or electric bikes, to providing energy support to a home in the event of an occasional power outage, to organizing camping or outdoor activities that would otherwise have no electricity supply.
Ideal for guaranteeing supply in remote and isolated locations, no additional device is required to generate electricity. Even all models They contain a battery that allows the captured energy to be stored (up to 27 Kwh) and also with a power socket for recharging via the conventional power grid, “and so be prepared from the first minute for any energy emergency that may arise”, confirms the company.
The model that appears in the video costs around 24,500 euros, according to the company.
Also a ‘solar bag’ and a ‘solar container’
Earlier, Polar Developments had already presented CASE, a complete range of portable solar devices for medium and low power. There are three different CASE models, depending on the power required: a particular backpack carwith a folding solar panel inside that can supply up to 200wup to a chest, two power options: 600 or 1,000 w.
With Polar Green Tow, the company goes one step further, offering more possibilities for those who need power supplies in isolated locations and the ability to move their generation station from one location to another.
However, alongside the CASE suitcase and Tow trailer, the company is also marketing a larger version: Container format, which significantly expands electricity generation capacity, up to 35 or 82 Kwh, also with energy storage.
Polar Green Tow will be presented at the 7th Leganés Technological Business Meeting to be held on September 22 at the UC3M Science Park in Leganés.
