Minister Blinken: USA will provide 2.2 billion dollars to Ukraine and 18 neighbors for arms purchase

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the US government will provide $2.2 billion in long-term investment in Ukraine and its 18 neighbors through a foreign military financing program. A statement about this was on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Blinken writes that he briefed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about a new $675 million military aid package that includes “additional weapons, ammunition and equipment from US Department of Defense stockpiles.”

In addition, today we also announce to Congress our intention to make an additional $2.2 billion long-term investment in foreign military finance to strengthen the security of Ukraine and its 18 neighbors.

The report states that “neighborhoods” include US NATO allies and “other regional security partners” who are at risk of potential “attack” from the Russian Federation.
