Roscosmos Director General Borisov: Russia will cope with sanctions on space exploration

Roscosmos General Manager Yuri Borisov said that Russia will find ways to get out of the difficult situation that has developed due to the sanctions of Western countries on the rocket and space industry of the Russian Federation. He stated this in an interview DEA News” at the Eastern Economic Forum.

“We are in full restrictive measures from both America and Europe. Of course, this affects the implementation of our plans. But this is not 100% brake in my opinion. We’re going to get out of this situation somehow, and we’re going to get out,” he said.

Borisov noted that there is pressure from the West on space sciences in Russia. He stressed that the United States has practically imposed an embargo on cargo launches to Russian carriers, stopping deliveries of the necessary element base.
