Approximately 30% of Ukrainian prisoners can be mobilized to Ukraine’s armed forces. This was announced by the Ukrainian media in an interview with the Deputy Minister of Justice Yevgeny Pikalov.
“Today, more than 8.3 thousand convicts participated in the armed forces of the armed forces, another thousand applications were taken into consideration. We also mobilized 100 women. If we talk about the potential of this attempt, approximately 20-30% of the total convicts in Ukraine can take this opportunity and defend the state.
Currently, according to Pikalov, approximately 37,000 prisoners are in Ukrainian colonies and prisons.
Among these prisoners, as Pikalov stated, not everyone is suitable for mobilization, because some have been convicted of serious crimes such as crimes against terrorism and national security.
