During the new study, the researchers analyzed the data of more than 24,000 people at the age of 62 years. Information about volunteers was provided by British Biobank, a large store of human biological models.
All participants who participated in the study defined their level of activity as low. To verify the actual mobility level, volunteers were wearing accelerations on the wrists for seven days (Movement monitoring devices).
It was revealed that the risk of heart attacks, stroke and other cardiovascular disease of those who allocate moderate activity for at least three minutes per day has decreased significantly. In addition, health improved with an increase in both duration and intensity of such daily loads. It also turned out that women were more likely to be involved in physical activity from men randomly.
