Sunscreen and Clothing: Open how old people get rid of a magnetic disaster 01:16

American scientists from the University of Michigan have revealed an incredible relationship between old Homo Sapiens technologies and global changes in the magnetic field of the Earth. A new study shows that our ancestors could survive during a magnetic collapse 41000 years ago, thanks to unexpected inventions. The study was published scientifically magazine Science Developments (SCIADV).

During Lashampa-Kargapolovo’s Paleomanynetic trip, the magnetic field of the world weakened to 10% of the modern level and recorded the polar equator. This led to unusual phenomena: polar glow was observed in Europe and North Africa, and ultraviolet radiation reached dangerous levels.

In a new study, the team created a unique 3D model of an old magnetosphere combining data about the geomagnetic field, space plasma and dynamics of the polar beam.

“We were able to determine how cosmic radiation penetrates the surface,“ scientists said.

Experts discovered a striking coincidence: during this period, Homo Sapiens actively began to use Demche as a natural sunscreen, sew tight clothes and settled in the caves more often.

According to archeology, Neanderthals did not dominate these technologies. Their disappearance about 40,000 years ago may be associated with their failure to adapt to changing conditions.

Work is not just to understand the past. In addition, the study questions the idea that a strong magnetic field is mandatory for the existence of life – an important point in the search for planets.
